Conceptdraw as Visio replacement
I received a lot of positive feedback and suggestions on the network diagrams I’ve posted. Most subscribers where amazed by the good looking results, gradient boxes and how nicely it integrates with my website.
Somebody even submitted feedback on “Did you use Photoshop to design this? I can never get these results with Visio“. So long story short; my diagrams are designed with Conceptdraw, a commercial vector drawing tool and an excellent replacement for Microsoft Visio which runs on MacOS and Windows.
Conceptdraw ships with a solid set of libraries. There is a free service to convert Visio files to the Conceptdraw format. I have used the service extensively and the results are always as you expect them to be. Conceptdraw itself can save the designs as a Visio XML file for backwards-compatibility.
If you are still not convinced, take a look at the Conceptdraw Gallery page for stunning examples. One of the things I like the most is the easy and user-friendly interface, the simple way of aligning objects and the sexy gradient backgrounds.
When using Conceptdraw your results is always a professional diagram suited for all your needs! For all the people who asked feel free to download and use my designs. However; I have spent quite a few hours (even days!) to get it so well designed and integrated. If you use them, please give me credit or backlink to my blog.
A few screenshots to show you the power of Conceptdraw.

Looks really nice
